BANSHEE aurally and visually manifests the psyche of a woman confronting and processing a seemingly unshakeable anger. <space.wolf> in collaboration with Rebel Motion presents a gothic horror music video in which clothing, styling, art direction, and sound design drive the storytelling.

BANSHEE was written, produced, and mixed by <space.wolf> and features her violin performance, brutally vulnerable rants, and bone-chilling screams. It is the lead single to her upcoming EP Play with Fire, set to release in 2020.

Rebel Motion is a NYC-based independent film studio founded and led by women.

WHO IS <SPACE.WOLF>?

space.wolf, born Devon Balicki, is a NYC-based producer and dj. Driven by self-expression as an act of self-care and armed with a heart-on-her-sleeve approach to songwriting, she creates sonic spaces that are both nourishing and invigorating. Her production technique explores the intersection of grounded acoustic samples and the digital sheen of electronic synthesis.

space.wolf grew up training in Celtic and classical violin and spent formative years engrossed in the music of Imogen Heap, Bond, and popular 90’s dance tunes. A product of the festival generation, she discovered dj’ing in her college years, playing parties and making her own mashups and edits to enhance her sets. Craving greater creative autonomy, she started crafting her own sound and discovered the cathartic and healing properties of composition.
